  3. I am going to answer question 1. OK, well I would rather have a representative democracy, so you can vote on someone that will make the descions that you want. That way you don't have a clueless polition making reckless decisions for your state.

  8. I like what 17big said. I respect that kid he is a genius he is also very good looking!

  9. For fact numa 1 my answer is direct democracy

    ReplyDelete
  10. I am also answering question 1. I would rather have a direct democracy over a representative democracy. I would want this because I believe everyone has a right to vote for what they believe in. If it was representative only one person would vote and more than likely not everyone would agree with their choice.

  13. OK, sorry about before, I wanted to change my answer. I just found out what the terms meant, so now I'm going to answer again. Well, I think a direct democracy would be better because each person gets a say in what they want. With a representative democracy you run the risk of having a stupid politician who doesn't vote on what his state wants him to do.

    ReplyDelete
  19. #1 is NO people need to decide for what they want. Other people shouldn't decide for them.

    ReplyDelete
  20. For num 1 i choose rep democracy.

  22. Adam, citizens have many responsibilities...
    Kaitlyn does have a point...
Anna Claire also has a point, too...

    ReplyDelete
  23. I totally agree with adam everyone kind of makes up their own rules

    ReplyDelete
  24. Apparently, some of you failed to read the part about being graded on grammar, usage, and spelling. If I were you, I would go back and revise some of those comments to reflect your actual intelligence level.

    ReplyDelete
  25. OK, I have to agree with Adam, there are certain duties that citizens should fulfill.

    ReplyDelete
  26. For number one would I chose representative democracy because I think that this one is better. This is because represntative deals with one person wasting there time while direct democracy deals with everybody wasting there time. Why would my whole family have to go to Walmart with direct democracy when just one person has to go to Walmart with representative democracy.Oh yeah

    ReplyDelete
  27. I have to agree with Adam, citizens do have responsibilites that they should look after and fulfill.

    Kaitlyn

    ReplyDelete
  28. Well actually Kaitlyn with representative democracy everyone tells the person that was chosen what they want. That is better. Just saying.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I agree with kaitlyn and henry also

    ReplyDelete
  30. I still think people should be able to make their own decisions and not just one person choose for them.

    ReplyDelete
  31. This is my second comment to reply to. This one goes to Anna Claire. I don't know what you mean by "going to Wal-Mart" but I love you (as a friend!) so I don't care. Anyway, with a representative democracy you run the risk of having stupid politician who doesn't do what his/her constituents wants. Just like with Obama's stupid healthcare plan, a lot of people in Louisiana didn't want the healthcare reform yet Mary Landrieu voted for the reform. That's like ungovernmental (if that's a word) because she voted for something her state didn't want.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I get what you are saying Kristen but people would get that person to vote for what they wanted. They would each say what they wanted and go for majorty vote for that group. But I do get that you want each person gets to represnt what they believe in. To me, both groups are fine, but it depends on how you look at it.

    ReplyDelete
  33. This is my third comment I'm going to make. I agree with Kristen. I lot of times representatives will not do what their state wants them to do.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I agree with the strange person by the name of Anna Claire. If everyone had to represent themselves, the country would grind to a halt. Please note that if anything is misspelled in this comment that it is my little brother's fault.
And Bayley still didn't get any cake.

    P.S. My name is Adam.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Henry, I'm honored that you would copy my stuff, but you technically plagiarized so I'm going to have to take this up my lawyer. Just kidding, I don't have a lawer.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Whlie I don't agree with a direct democracy, I agree with Kaitlyn's remark of "With a representative democracy you run the risk of having a stupid politician who doesn't vote on what his state wants him to do." Right on Kaitlyn, but channel that anger.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Kaitlyn, Kaitlyn, Kaitlyn. All this political Obama talk is giving me a headache!!! But I do get what you mean about Mary Landrieu. But SHE didn't listen to her state like she was supposed to because that's how representative government works. She is just bad and naughty because she didn't follow the rules.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I would choose direct democracy because i would want a say in things that affect us as citizens. I would want to be able to state my opinions about everything.

    ReplyDelete
  39. OK, I may be dumb, but Adam: Why would our country "grind to a halt"?

    ReplyDelete
  40. OK, but Mary Landrieu could just be the beginning of a huge mess. What if after this a whole bunch of representatives did the same thing?! Then the citizens of the country would be angry and revolts could start!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Because, Kaitlyn, if everyone has to go out on the streets and say, "I want blueberry pancakes for breakfast," you will experience mass revolts and a higher rate of death in the country.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Mrs. Kassab. My first comment was to Kaitlyn's fist post. My second comment was to Kristen's first post, and my third comment was on Kaitlyn's ranting comment about Mary Landrieu. I am done.

    ReplyDelete
  43. But if one person votes for everyone some people aren't going to get to vote for what they wont still...!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Adam, that makes no since to me. Everyone would just go to voting polls and vote on they want. Majority wins.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yeah Kaitlyn but the people just need to go to her house and give her a talking to!

    ReplyDelete
  46. All three of my comment were to Kaitlyns and Kendalls! Im done!:)

    ReplyDelete
  47. Yes Kristen but the people are just going to have to DEAL

    ReplyDelete
  48. I would choose direct democracy because i would want a say in things that affect us as citizens. I would want to be able to say stuff that would efect the gov.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Yes, but she is a stubborn politician who doesn't believe in being to true to what she says which is wrong. She has lied and dishonored her state which is not good.

    ReplyDelete
  50. #1 I would choose representative democracy because I think that this one is better. This is because representative deals with one person wasting there time while direct democracy deals with everybody wasting there time. Why would my whole family have to go to Super 1 with direct democracy when just one person has to go to Super 1 with representative democracy.BOOM!!!!

  55. hey kaitlyn! im gonna agree with your choice because it sounds smart and i think that everyone should have there own say in everything because it wouldnt be very fair to not give anyone a say in stuff

    ReplyDelete
  56. Thanks for being on my side Emily.

    ReplyDelete
  57. i would choose representative government for #1 because represenative government is where there are hand picked voters and in direct democracy there anyone can vote

  59. Some of the responsibilities of a citizen are vote, sign up for draft, and jury duty!!

  61. I agree with Amber because there are some things that we, as citizens, should be held responsible for. Thank you for agreeing with me Kelsi!

  63. I am conflicted on deciding which government I would favor.Lately I have been researching both.I will decide sometime.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I see problems in both democracies, but hey,we humans aren't perfect. My opinion is that I would prefer to have a direct democracy because, like others are saying,I think everyone should have their opinions heard.Voting, however, might be difficult physically.Personally,I would want to speak for myself, rather than someone else speak for me.I am not saying representatives are stupid or incapable,I think with a direct democracy, there could be more good ideas.Unfortunately, there would also be bad opinions. This book of a blog I wrote basically says that I think direct democracy would be better, yet it has some stuff I don't like.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I would like to agree with Adam about the blueberry pancake theory. It might create some bickering.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I also agree with Kaitlyn on the Mary Landrieu stuff and her "Louisiana Purchase."Money is a powerful thing and we common people got our morals, values, beliefs and etcetra bought away by that lady.I would rather staying poor than giving up what I believe.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I agree with you on the problems of both governments, but there should be a way to overcome most of them.
